A delicate wine with tradition, once aptly described by Hemingway as “the warm welcoming home of a brother you get along with well”.
The vineyard
Pozzetto is a vineyard laid out according to the Veronese Pergola system and is located in the lower, south-facing part of the estate with a limestone and gravel soil.
The grapes
Corvina gentile, Rondinella and Croatina.
The winemaking
To create a wine that is bursting with aroma and pleasantly crisp, the grapes are gently pressed the same day as they are harvested. The fermentation and aging process takes place in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the wine’s authentic character.
The wine
Lively and bright ruby red in colour. A fragrant aroma of red berries with hints of pepper. A fruity and clean taste; the well-balanced spiciness and excellent palatability make it easy to pair with food.
Food pairing
Fresh and mild cheeses, delicate cured meats; lean meat, grilled works particularly well; freshly made pasta or vegetable risotto. Lightly chilled, it can also be served with aromatic or steamed fish.
